About Batisseurs Réunis
Managing our cities calls on all of us to unite our actions and skills to tackle the challenges facing the world today. These challenges are enormous – natural disasters, famine, community violence, diseases, and more. As the saying goes, “unity is strength,” and any coordinated action carried out in synergy always bears fruit. It is with this vision that a group of dynamic young people decided to come together under an association called Bâtisseurs Réunis to work for the general interest of the community.
Legally, Bâtisseurs Réunis is a non-profit, apolitical association under the French 1901 law. Founded in 2011, it was officially recognized by the Togolese government under number 320/MATDCL-SG-DLPAP-DOCA on March 26, 2012. Its mission is to promote the economic and social development of local populations.
The association is based in Lomé and primarily operates in the fields of health, education, citizenship, environment, children’s rights, and women’s empowerment.
MISSION - GOALS - PARTNERS
Our Mission and Goals at a Glance
Since its founding in 2012, Batisseurs Réunis has been committed to supporting Togolese communities through concrete, solidarity-based, and sustainable actions. The association works to improve living conditions, promote health, education, and empower local populations.
Through a variety of projects ranging from education and health to environmental protection and economic development, Batisseurs Réunis mobilizes volunteers and partners from around the world to take action on the ground. Its missions aim to create tangible impact, foster international solidarity, and offer enriching volunteer opportunities for all, while supporting local initiatives and strengthening community capacities for a better future.
Promote Education
Because the future is built through knowledge, Batisseurs Réunis supports children and youth through educational projects, access to school supplies, and initiatives that promote literacy and success for all.
Fight STIs/HIV, Hepatitis B
We conduct awareness, prevention, and support activities to reduce the spread of STIs, HIV/AIDS, and Hepatitis B, while supporting affected individuals with dignity and hope.
Prevent Early Pregnancies
Batisseurs Réunis works to protect the future of young girls through awareness, education, and support, aiming to prevent early pregnancies and offer better life opportunities.
Combat Illiteracy
We implement educational initiatives and literacy programs to help everyone acquire essential reading and writing skills, opening the door to autonomy and new opportunities.
Protect Children’s Rights
At Batisseurs Réunis, we ensure the protection and well-being of children by defending their fundamental rights: access to education, health, safety, and a nurturing environment so they can grow with dignity and hope.
Promote Civic Education
We raise awareness among youth and communities about civic values, respect for rights and responsibilities, and active participation in social life, to build a more responsible and united society.
Protect the Environment
Preserving wildlife, flora, and natural spaces by educating communities, conducting reforestation activities, and promoting sustainable practices for a healthier and balanced future.
Train Groups in Income-Generating Activities
Supporting groups and cooperatives in developing entrepreneurial skills, implementing economic projects, and creating sustainable income-generating activities to strengthen autonomy and improve living conditions.
LE SEUL Medical and Social Center
One of our key missions is to promote the health of the population. True to this commitment and in order to meet the healthcare needs of disadvantaged communities, a medical and social center called “LE SEUL” was established in the suburbs of the capital, in Agoe Attiomé, in 2017 and officially recognized in 2018 by a ministerial decree.
The center’s mission is diverse, involving medical care, listening, support, and assistance for disadvantaged individuals who, in some cases, cannot afford to consult a doctor. The center’s work goes beyond treating illnesses: healthcare services are complemented by social support.
